Day 15- Mind/Body/Spirit Detox Techniques & Brainwave Entrainment #22DayChallenge
Updated: Aug 3, 2020
Today marks the beginning of my final week in this challenge and I wanted to start off strong so I booked myself in for a 90 minute Thai Massage. I have been to Thailand 3 times and fell in love with 'The land of smiles' and it's people. There is a vast difference between a 250 baht massage on the beach and a trained professional and in Spa Samui (which I wrote about on Day 6) I was lucky enough to be there when the Master Masseuses would come for their monthly training and was asked to be a willing participant being bent and stretched in numerous positions and not only did it make my body more flexible, it got rid of the knots within my mind and I felt emotions being released from different parts of my body, it was a pretty powerful experience that I will never forget!! In 2019 Thai Massage was also added to the UNESCO Heritage & Intangible Cultural Assets list as something that needs to be preserved and never forgotten because of its importance in bringing our body back into balance. One session feels like 30 Yoga Sessions it really feels that powerful.
Luckily in my hometown, there is a wonderful woman from Thailand that works from home. Complementary Therapists in the UK are allowed to start working again from July 6th so I booked in that day and have booked in next week as well. She has hands of magic and reminds me of those master masseuses as she bends and stretches you with perfect precision and every time I walk out the difference is phenomenal. Not only does my body feel good it clears your mind and emotions as well so if you have never tried Thai Massage I would highly recommend this wonderful therapy...I'm literally floating on cloud nine.
Another thing I have been doing each week is listening to 7 Detox MP3's created by one of the worlds best Medical Intuitives; Lynn Waldrop. She has been working as a Medical Intuitive for 30 years and once a month asks people through a survey what they would like her to work on and then she collects all that data and starts speaking to the body to see what it has to say about the topic and then a new MP3 is created. For the last 5,000 years, Medicine has gone from Plant/Herb based to Chemical and then come full circle again and whilst both can be beneficial I like to think outside the box and experiment and try new things. I think Sound and Vibrational Medicine will become more popular. I have bought numerous MP3's from Lynn over the last 3 years as she is truly gifted at what she does.
The 7 Total Body Detox MP3s include
Total Body Cleanse 4.0
Toxin Detox 4.0
Colon Cleanup 4.0
I also have the Gut Detox Series which has 22 MP3s each focusing on a different aspect of balancing the stomach and digestive system.
The best thing about these MP3's is that you only have to listen to them 1-3 times and the conscious mind registers it and from then on it can be listened to on mute and still have the desired results.
I couldn't get my head around this at first as it goes against everything we have been taught to believe. I conducted my own personal experiments to see if it worked and it totally did. This technique of synchronizing your brainwave frequencies to external audio stimuli is known as Brainwave Entrainment. As this process is continued for some time, the brainwave is tuned to the frequency of external sound and thus achieves the particular frequency level of that sound (the most common for these purposes are alpha, theta and delta)
We actually have 5 main brainwaves which can be seen in the image below from the slowest (Delta) to the fastest (Gamma)
Lynn uses a tuning fork and I also have silent MP3s from Jarrad Hewitt who adds layers to his MP3s using binaural beats and isochronic tones.
I first came across these terms around 10 years ago when I was guided to explore sound and vibration and these 2 terms kept coming up so let me explain how they work?
What are Binaural Beats?
Binaural Beats are created when we play two different frequencies in each ear. The tone in the right ear could be 400 Hz and the tone in the left ear could be 406 Hz. Our brain detects the difference between these 2 frequencies and creates a third wave which would be 6 Hz which would entrain it into the Theta Wave state. You need to wear earphones for this to work so the 2 tones can be played simultaneously. It's a clever technique that allows us to listen to the optimum frequency required.
What are Isochronic Tones?
Isochronic tones are more intense than binaural beats and considered more effective. An isochronic tone is a single tone that turns on and off in a particular pattern. Each of the tones is distinct and evenly spaced to be able to create a lasting impression on the brain. Basically our brains have to do much less work to get the same effects as binaural beats – which allows us to feel more relaxed, get in a more powerful and peaceful meditative state and visualize better. It is recommended to use headphones. Many people who do not respond well to binaural beats often respond very well to isochronic tones. It is good to experiment with both to see what works best for you.
In 2 days time, I have an appointment with a Master in Light Language that speaks several dialects layered within each other. It's been 2 years since I had my last session so I am excited what will come through this time as the last session totally blew my mind in the best possible way.
Tomorrow I will give you the recipe for my favourite Dahl which also has many multidimensional layers of taste and tones
