How a small decision can turn your life around

Updated: Jul 31

Everyday we are presented with a series of choices. Some are easier to make than others..

Will I have cereal or a salmon & cream cheese bagel for breakfast?

Should I go to the gym this morning or wait until I finish work?

Would I prefer a cup of coffee or tea?

Every day we are presented with new decisions and it is really important to take action and make a decision as indecision causes stagnancy and procrastination in your life.

By taking action in every moment you are building up that reflex and mental muscle and it feels good. More serotonin and dopamine are released to the brain and it feels good building momentum.

We all have those friends that tell us if they hadn't of gone to this specific restaurant/place at a specific time they wouldn't have met the love of their life and fallen deeply in love. The majority also report that they weren't gonna go but something ( usually the voice of their intuition) gently nudged them into going.

The small steps and the small decisions are where the magic begins, it sparks off possibilities and opens doorways you never even knew existed. In fact, the Chinese Philosopher Lao Tzu said...

'The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step'

By making all the small decisions I went from a child that thought he would live in the same country until the age of 18 and then fate stepped in and with each new decision I got to live in countries like China, Australia, Spain and S Korea and I think of all the special people I wouldn't have met if I had stayed in the same place. But that was my life journey, in hindsight, it was imperative for me to do that so that I have the experience and wisdom to share with others.

Make all those decisions even the small ones because you never know where they could lead you.
